Despite efforts by rich individuals and foundations to address issues of social inequality and opportunity, the U.S. economy 'has had no serious proactive strategy to address the inequality in incomes and wealth.' And now even the wealthy argue that high levels of inequality are not only bad for those at the bottom of the curve, but are also bad for business.
