Summary
The United Steelworkers, Mondragon International USA, and the Ohio Employee Ownership Center created this detailed model for developing sustainable jobs through a combination of worker ownership and unionization. This model, or template, for unionized cooperatives seeks to implement principles and values of the Mondragon model in combination with collective bargaining. The model is intended to be a living document subject to continuous revision and improvement based on user feedback and applied experiences. It is not intended to be a one-size-fits-all model, but rather offers a set of ideas and guidelines to adapt in forming new union co-ops on a case by case basis.
